About Myisha

Myisha Jackson is a phenomenal Licensed Professional Counselor with a strong commitment to the Black community. She is the founder and owner of Healing Journey Counseling Center, a private practice, where she provides a safe place for millennial women and teen girls struggling with adjusting to life’s transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression.

 Myisha is a multi-faceted woman. In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor, Myisha is also a mother, entrepreneur, and community servant. She is a member of the Monroe Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Junior League of Monroe, Louisiana Counseling Association, and she is also a board member for the Children’s Coalition of Northeast Louisiana and The Mama Wellness Foundation.

 Myisha has continuously poured her gifts and expertise into the Black and mental health community. Her contributions have made impactful developments gaining her the opportunities to be featured in Forbes, Essence, Health, SELF, Bustle, US News, and a host of other media and podcast platforms.

 Myisha’s ultimate goal is to minimize the negative stigma of therapy in the Black community, help millennial women and teens identify mental health issues, and bring awareness regarding the importance of mental health counseling.
